This is my version of hambuger helper. Its one of my fast meals, ready in 15 minutes and there are never leftovers. We are doing Cajun seasoning for Mardi Gras, but we do Italian, southwest, and other seasonings to change it up.
● 1 tbsp oil of choice
●1 lb of organic protein (white or black beans work great)
●1/2 C chopped onion
●2 chopped garlic cloves
● 1 1/2 tbsp seasonings of choice
●1 can organic tomato sauce and another can of water
● 1lb noodles of choice
1. Heat oil on med-high heat and saute onion for 2 minutes, add garlic, and protein until cooked through. You can also add other veggies at this point too. Then add seasonings and stir until combined.
2. Add tomato sauce, water and noodles. Bring to boil and cover. Lower to simmer for 10 minutes, or until noodles are cooked to you liking.
3. Serve in a bowl with your favorite toppings. We like vegan cheese, avacado, fresh tomatoes, onions and even crushed corn chips if you are using a southwest seasoning. Use your imagination.
